Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your BrokerCentral account by requiring more than just a password to sign in. In addition to entering your password, you’ll also need to verify your identity using a second method, such as a code from an authentication app or a text message. This helps protect your account even if your password is compromised, reducing the risk of unauthorised access and keeping your data more secure.
Simply click on your user icon in the top right of the screen and then "my profile"
On the right hand of the page you'll find the "Enable Authenticator MFA" button.
Follow the on screen prompts.
You will be asked to scan a QR code displayed on the screen with an authenticator app on your phone.
If you don't have an authenticator app you'll need to download one. BrokerCentral MFA supports most standard authenticator apps, including Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, and Authy. Any app that supports TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password) authentication should work correctly.
Once you have your Authenticator app open, scan the QR code, type the code provicded by your app into the "Authenticator code" box on BrokerCentral and finally click "Confirm Setup".
You'll be shown a list of recovery code - IT IS VITAL THAT YOU STORE THESE SECURELY - without these it is very difficult to recover your account!
