Operating System

BrokerCentral is a cloud-based system, which means no downloading, no installing, and no fuss! Just open it up in your web browser and you're good to go. It works across all modern operating systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

While BrokerCentral plays nicely with most web browsers, we’re big fans of Google Chrome. It tends to offer the smoothest ride. Of course, if you’re using Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Safari, it’ll still work just fine, but for the best experience, Chrome is the winner.

Automatic Updates

One of the best things about BrokerCentral being web-based? No annoying “please update now” pop-ups. You’ll always be running the latest version with all the shiny new features and fixes—automatically! Just make sure you keep your browser up to date, so everything stays smooth and secure.


Internet Connectivity

As a cloud-based software, BrokerCentral needs a solid internet connection to work effectively. We recommend a connection with at least 15Mbps download speed to keep things running smoothly.

Pro Tip: Backup Internet (just in case)

Let’s face it, internet hiccups happen. And since most businesses rely on the web for email, VOIP phone, and software (like BrokerCentral!), having a backup connection isn’t a bad idea.

Whether it's a second broadband line or a mobile data plan, it’s always good to have a safety net in case the unexpected happens!


Screen Resolution

BrokerCentral is built to be flexible! It automatically adjusts to fit your screen, so whether you're working on a laptop, desktop, or tablet, the system will adapt. However, because there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, using smaller screens like mobile devices might make things feel a bit cramped.

Mobile Devices: Last Resort

Sure, you can use BrokerCentral on your mobile, but let’s be honest—it’s not ideal for complex tasks. With so many features packed into the system, squeezing it all onto a tiny screen can lead to some overlap and a bit of a puzzle to navigate. So, mobile devices are best kept for quick tasks and emergencies.

Recommended Setup

For the best experience, we recommend a wide-screen desktop monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 (or higher). It gives you plenty of room to breathe! If you’re on the move, a tablet with an 11” screen or larger will keep things easy to manage.

Bonus Tip: Double your productivity with dual monitors!

If you’re juggling loads of tasks, working with multiple clients, or running big reports, consider using a dual-monitor setup. It’s a game-changer for productivity and lets you have all the tools you need right at your fingertips without constantly switching tabs!
