Start by going to the clients icon on the side menu
In the top right hand side under your name, click on + New Client
This will bring a pop-up screen asking What is the Client Type? It will show the most common ones that are used (Private Limited Company, Personal, Partnership) and then other types that can be used (Charity, Trustee, Association).
Select the type of client that you have from the menu and press Next (bottom left side of pop-up window)
Adding a commercial client
Select the type of commercial client you have - for this example we will use a Private Limited Company
2. By typing in the Company Name, this will produce a Companies House Search which will enable you to select the company which then fills in the remaining information regarding Company Registered Number and Address.
3. Having selected Corporate Director for this example the address will be pre-populated -
4. The Website will need to be added manually if you have that information.
5. The Account Executive and Account Handler will be pre-populated with your name if you are adding them in. These can be changed by selecting the name and then changing it using the drop down menu.
6. Press the Next button when done.
Who is the main contact?
The next pop up that you will see is asking you to add contact details for the client.
If the contact is already in the system, their name will come up and you can select it. If the contact is new, you will need to select "+ Create .... as new contact"
This will bring up "Add Contact Details" and those can be filled in and then press the Create button at the bottom.
Putting in the Address
Whenever you are asked to put an address into the system, there will be the following box:
If you put the postcode in, it will bring up the relevant addresses and you can select the one you need and it will pre-populate the rest of the page.
Once you have the client on the system, you will be asked if you want to add an existing policy to them or create a new one. This is your opportunity to add the existing policy to them which will move them from Prospect to Active Client.
To keep them as a Prospect you can "Continue without Policies".
ADD EXISTING POLICY
If you want to add this years policy to the client, press the "Add Existing Policy" and you will get the Edit Quote Pop Up - this can be filled in either manually or by dropping the document into "Drop files here"
CREATE NEW
Pressing "Create New Business Proposal" will take you to the Companies House Lookup which can be used if they are registered with Companies House, or you can skip (down on the bottom of the pop up on the left).
After you have done that you will then go onto the Proposal screen and continue through.
Creating a Personal Client
If you select a personal client, it will bring up this pop up -
Under the Add Client Details it will ask you to Create Contact which is the person you are doing the quote for.
As they will probably be a new client, you will need to press " + Create ... as a new contact".
This will take you to the Client Details full page where title, email, phone, mobile and address will need to be added.
The Address box will appear and you can put in the postcode and select the correct address from the drop down.
